I work as a relational somatic therapist from an existential-humanistic lens, combining attachment theory, nervous system regulation, mindfulness and narrative frameworks. Utilizing my training in art therapy, together we explore creativity and how it can deepen your understanding of self, opening new pathways for healing.
Healing is a basic human right, and we all hold the potential to heal. I believe the struggles of daily life and oppressive systems cause us to lose connection to our soul and purpose, leading to our suffering. Our bodies not only hold the stories of our lives but that of our ancestors.
I believe both creativity and movement are medicine with the potential to bring us into a deeper connection with ourselves, helping us connect deeper to the world around us, providing our lives with meaning. I use both the body-mind connection and creativity to gently guide you into a deeper relationship with your true Self where healing can begin. As a certified yoga instructor, I utilize breath work, mindfulness and creativity in our work together.
I am registered as a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon under the supervision of Justin Rock MA LPC, and I can see clients residing in the State of Oregon. I hold an MA in Art Therapy from Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling, a MFA in Applied Craft and Design from PNC & OCAC, a BA in Apparel Design, and am a 200hr certified yoga instructor.
After spending nearly two decades working in the creative corporate world (6 of those at adidas), I am combining my passion for creativity and helping others in their healing process. As a former adidas employee (2013 - 2019), I carry an understanding for the challenges of working for a large global company in the competitive world of sport. Navigating office politics, org restructures, team dynamics, fast-paced growth-oriented culture, all while trying to understand and feel your unique value in this large system is no easy feat. I am honored to be back on campus helping others navigate these challenges while balancing the struggles of life.
Therapeutic Focuses include: trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, burnout, family dynamics, 2SLGBTQIA+ experiences, late diagnosed neurodivergence, toxic work environments, and career transitions/identity.
I identify as gender queer/gender non-conforming and am late diagnosed ADHD. I am a color nerd, artist, yoga teacher, lover of the outdoors & more than human world. You can often find me spending quality time with friends at local coffee shops around town and time in the woods with my spouse and our 2 pups.
To learn a little more about me and how I work, you can check out my website
I reserve some sliding scale slots for people in the BIPOC &/or LGBTQIA+ community, these are limited. If you’re interested in the sliding scale option, please let me know prior to our first session.
